Soundside Partners is seeking a part-time Senior Advisor – Operations, Quality, and Compliance to support operational review engagements for clients in advanced technology and semiconductor-related industries. The Senior Advisor will coordinate review activities, assess implementation of required controls, evaluate operational and quality-related processes, and coordinate Soundside reports and outputs. This is a senior, client-facing role for a professional who can operate credibly across company executives, technical teams, quality organizations, and other key stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

  • Review client implementation of required controls, information access processes, operational commitments, quality-related processes, reporting obligations, and remediation activities

  • Assess operational discipline, quality systems, process controls, documentation practices, CAPA processes, and escalation mechanisms

  • Identify and escalate potential compliance issues, operational risks, quality concerns, implementation gaps, exceptions, or areas requiring further inquiry

  • Support preparation and review of client-facing reports and internal workpapers

  • Maintain appropriate independence, confidentiality, documentation discipline, and professional judgment in all engagement activities

 

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in operations, quality, compliance, regulatory oversight, internal audit, or a related function for a semiconductor manufacturing organization

  • Experience with quality systems, corrective and preventive action processes, manufacturing controls, customer commitments, data access controls, and compliance reporting

  • Strong understanding of structured review processes

  • Ability to interpret obligations, gather evidence, assess implementation, and distinguish material compliance or operational issues from routine business matters

  • Ability to work independently in a virtual, fast-moving, high-trust consulting environment

 

Work Location

This is a part-time, subcontract consulting role (est. 20-30 hrs/wk) with a flexible schedule. Workload is expected to vary based on client activity, with higher time requirements during onboarding, review periods, site visits, or issue escalations. The Senior Advisor may work remotely from any suitable location with adequate connectivity and airport access. Occasional domestic travel will be required for meetings, site visits, or other engagement-related activities.
